Training is a key element to any Energy Conservation Plan. The more your people know, the better decisions they can make on how to operate your building systems.
The following are some of the training subjects that we offer:
Automated Logic - WebCTRL - 3-day class using the ALC WebCTRL material. Scheduling, Trending, Alarming, Setpoints, and reading the Logic Page are some of the topics discussed.
Automated Logic - Programming and Graphics - Overview of SiteBuilder, ViewBuilder, and Eikon
Automated Logic - Hardware and Networking - Full review of all ALC controllers and the applications they were designed for. Review of Ethernet, ARCnet, and MSTP networks. All the rules to follow to ensure good communication on each network type. Discussion on troubleshooting issues on each network type
HVAC Systems101- This class was designed to help technicians understand basic HVAC principals and the wide variety of equipment that make up a commercial HVAC system. Too many times our techs are not skilled in how the HVAC systems function or how to recognize an HVAC system problem. This class is designed to help the technician have a better understanding of chillers, boilers, AHUs, RTUs, FPBs, VAVs, CVs, EFs, MAUs, HXs, and many more.
Intro to HVAC Control Applications - During this class we dig down into how the equipment discussed in the HVAC Systems 101 class should be controlled. We discuss various control sequences that optimize energy consumption.
Troubleshooting HVAC Control Systems - The purpose of this class is to help a technician troubleshoot many of the common problems experienced with the ALC system. Bad sensors, communications issues with controllers, the WebCTRL server issues, etc.
Integration (Protocols - BACnet, Modbus - Teach the basics of BACnet and Modbus integration using LGR, AMR, and EQ-PRTL
Electrical Circuits and Wiring Diagrams - Reading ladder diagrams, understanding electrical circuits, review of interpreting the submittal manual diagrams in the field, VFD control, etc.
Legacy Programs and Graphics - This class reviews how to changed programs and graphics on SuperVision systems that have been upgraded to WebCTRL.
Electrician Training - This class was designed to review the necessary material to help an electrician understand how to run the ARCnet network properly, install and wire ALC hardware, Belimo valves and dampers, BAPI sensors, current switches, pressure sensors, CO2 sensors, etc. The idea behind this class is to improve the skill of the electrician so that our techs spend less time fixing issues and rewiring controls during the startup.
These classes can be conducted off-site or at your facility depending upon the number of people you would like to attend. Please contact me for pricing and availability. Note: The classes that are specific to the Automated Logic product are available to all ALC distributors.
